How it works:

Water back-up

We install a water storage tank that is sufficient to cater for your needs for up to a week. Water is diverted from your mains line into the tank. A pressure pump is then used to pump water from the tank into your home or business.

What this means is that if there is a burst pipe in your area, or water supply is interrupted, you will have water. So your children will get to have a bath and the cooking and cleaning will continue as normal.

From a business point of view, can you imagine trying to run a guest house, or a restaurant without water, even a hairdresser or bakery will come to a standstill without water.

We evaluate your needs as a family or a business, and then install the appropriate size storage tank. It is possible to harvest rain water, but this is not recommended for human consumption for obvious reasons, unless you have a filtration system installed. Another benefit of this system is that if you suffer from low water pressure, this will be take care of by the pressure pump.

Solar back-up

There are many ways that you can apply solar technology to your lives. From an off grid system where all your electricity needs are met via solar power, to on-grid systems with a battery back-up. Your situation will determine what kind of system can be implemented.

For business and factories, it is viable to install a system that is dedicated to taking care of lighting, but it is not cost effective to try to run machines in a factory from solar power.

With a battery back-up, you will have the ability to run without Eskom power for a period, until power supply is restored. Any excess power generated by a solar system is pumped back into the national grid system. At this time, Eskom will not give you money for the energy you put into the grid, but the meter will run slower, and even run backwards if your supply is greater than your demand.

Please be aware that you are not able to push power into the grid if you are on a prepaid meter.

Power management

Eskom charges can be lowered by up to 30% simply by managing the peak level of electricity use.
